Mimi-sensei is an adult rabbit character who serves as an elementary school teacher instructing young animal students. She is recognizable by her rosy cheeks, yellow hair bow, red glasses, blue frock, and blue shoes. Her consistent design features the glasses and hair ribbons. First appearing in the episode "Anpanman and Shokupanman" on October 17, 1988, she quickly became one of the earliest recurring figures in the series. Mimi-sensei maintains an enduring presence throughout the animated episodes and appears in nearly every associated theatrical movie. In the Tubi English-language adaptation, she is called Miss Mimi.
