Description
Doramed III, also known as Dora Med III or Dora Med, is a robotic cat originating from the Robot School, where he studied alongside Doraemon and other members of The Doraemons. He possesses one of the Bestfriend Telecards, symbolizing his oath of eternal friendship with the group.
His appearance aligns with standard cat-model robots but features distinct traits: a pink body, a thin horizontal mustache with upturned ends, and a tail terminating in a red orb. He wears traditional Arabian attire comprising a green turban with yellow stripes and a yellow feather, a blue collar with a bell, a green bisht featuring red and yellow cuffs adorned with triangular patterns, a black-and-blue belt, black sirwal trousers, and black Arabian shoes.
His abilities include proficiency in magic, utilizing a magic lamp and magic carpet reminiscent of Aladdin. He employs tarot cards for predicting the future. When enraged, he dramatically increases in size to become a powerful giant, reverting to normal upon calming down or contact with water. He accesses gadgets through a four-dimensional genie lamp, his variant of Doraemon's fourth-dimensional pocket, though he sometimes uses a standard fourth-dimensional pocket as a backup.
Despite residing in desert regions, he suffers from severe aquaphobia, a fear of water that extends to tornados and prevents him from swimming. Ironically, his dream is to overcome this fear to construct a water park called "Water Land" for desert communities. Due to his aquaphobia, he prefers freeze-dried dorayaki.
Professionally, he serves as the royal oracle and consultant for Saudi Prince Arashin in Saudi Arabia, though his home is in Baghdad, Iraq. He identifies as Sunni Muslim, recognized as the first major Muslim character in anime, and enjoys Christmas despite its ban in Saudi Arabia. He has a twin brother named Sindora-bad.
Within The Doraemons, he initially distrusted Dorapin, viewing him as a thief. This perception shifted to admiration and trust after witnessing Dorapin protect his lover, Mimimi. His bonds with the group were solidified through shared adventures, including the rescue of classmates Sunekuchi and Jaides during their Robot School days.
In the short film *Strange, Sweets, Strange?*, he appears as a supporting character alongside other Doraemons members.
