Description
Wang Dora is a cat-model robot from China and a member of The Doraemons. He sports four short whiskers instead of the usual three and possesses a longer tail ending in a luminous green orb. His attire is a red tang suit with traditional Chinese button knots, a yellow-piped standing collar, and a matching red melon cap. He utilizes four-dimensional sleeves on his shirt for storage rather than a standard four-dimensional pocket and holds one of the group's "Friendship Telecards" for communication.
Trained in kung fu from an early age, he demonstrated proficiency even before enrolling in the Robot Academy, where he refined his skills to master level. His approach emphasizes strategy and intellect. Academically, he achieved top grades at the Robot Academy, excelling in physics, mathematics, traditional Chinese medicine, anatomy, and herbal knowledge, having studied medicine during the Qing Dynasty while assisting a doctor of Chinese remedies.
Typically calm and analytical, Wang Dora serves as a trusted problem-solver within the group but adheres rigidly to principles and ethical codes. He harbors insecurity about his height, particularly his short legs, leading him to attempt unconventional methods to increase his stature. He exhibits extreme shyness around females; exposure causes him to flee or, if trapped, experience elevated body temperature, involuntary squirming, and drunken-like behavior accompanied by embarrassing remarks, though the reaction subsides quickly. Despite this, he maintains a romantic relationship with the nurse Mimiko, whose presence often triggers his involuntary responses, sometimes resulting in physical altercations initiated by her.
His dynamic with fellow member El Matadora is contentious, frequently escalating into physical fights as Wang Dora rebukes the latter's impulsive actions. Yet, he acknowledges El Matadora's abilities, forming a complex bond of mutual respect and friendship. He collaborates with The Doraemons to confront threats, such as the theft of their Friendship Telecards by the thief Dorapin. Wang Dora favors consuming dorayaki with a significant amount of rāyu (chili oil).
