Description
Ten-year-old Yuu Morisawa gains magical powers from the alien Pino Pino after aiding his return to Feather Star. Her wand transforms her into sixteen-year-old idol Creamy Mami for one year, supervised by guardian cats Posi and Nega from Feather Star. While exploring the city as Mami, Yuu is unexpectedly recruited to sing on television; her magically enhanced voice propels her to instant fame, launching her professional idol career with Parthenon Productions under the alias Creamy Mami. Revealing her true identity would cost Yuu her magic, forcing her to maintain this secret.

A central conflict arises when her childhood friend Toshio Ōtomo develops romantic feelings for Creamy Mami, unaware she is Yuu, who secretly harbors a crush on him. After Toshio witnesses Yuu’s transformation, temporarily losing her powers, they travel to Feather Star. Pino Pino restores her abilities in exchange for erasing Toshio’s memory, though a recorded tape later triggers his recollection. Ultimately, Toshio deduces Mami’s identity and acknowledges his feelings for Yuu.

Despite chronic lateness, Yuu consistently arrives just in time for idol appearances. She confronts challenges from supernatural beings, former Feather Star residents, rival producer Snake Joe (who attempts to steal her), and Parthenon’s top star Megumi Ayase (jealous of producer Shingo Tachibana’s affection for Mami). Nega, her cautious guardian cat, knows advanced spells but rarely teaches them, fearing misuse—though Yuu occasionally tricks him into revealing minor magic.

In the OVA *Eien no Once More*, set two months after Mami’s final concert, Yuu investigates rumors of her comeback and Tachibana’s "Project M," doubting their legitimacy. *Long Goodbye* depicts Yuu’s involuntary transformations into Mami as Tachibana plans a film starring Megumi while requesting Mami’s participation—events unfolding near the end of her one-year contract, emphasizing her impending power loss. Yuu appears in the crossover OVA *Adesugata Mahou no Sannin Musume* with Persia and Emi, visiting a hot spring to share experiences and contact their love interests, though the special largely reuses original footage. She also features in *Majokko Club Yoningumi: A Kuukan kara no Alien X*, transforming into Creamy Mami alongside fellow magical girls to battle a monster draining youth from Earth’s women. For the Blu-ray Memorial Box, she stars in the picture drama *Otogibanashi*, a retelling of Cinderella.
