Description
Falmelle Von Volger, known as Ginrei, is the daughter of Dr. Franken Von Volger, a co-creator of the Shizuma Drive. At age twelve, she survived the Tragedy of Bashtarle using her innate teleportation power to escape with her father's assistant, Go Gakujin, believing for years they were the only survivors.
She joined the International Police Organisation (IPO) as an Expert of Justice under the alias Ginrei. Her training mastered multiple martial arts, disguise proficiency, and exceptional marksmanship. She largely avoided her teleportation ability due to its life-shortening effect.
Ginrei formed a close, sisterly bond with Giant Robo's commander, Daisaku Kusama, offering him guidance. She played a pivotal role protecting the third Shizuma Drive sample from Big Fire, rescuing Dr. Shizuma in Nanjing. She confronted the emergence of the Eye of Volger, initially believing her father was alive and allied with Big Fire, causing deep internal conflict.
After Shanghai's fall, she discovered the Eye was controlled by her brother Emmanuel, who had assumed their father's identity. A confrontation in the Himalayas revealed Emmanuel shared her teleportation ability and explained his motives. Ginrei condemned his actions but refused to fight him.
Later, Interpol placed her in suspended animation at Ryozanpaku headquarters over fears she might side with Emmanuel. When Big Fire attacked to retrieve the Shizuma sample she carried, she was nearly killed but saved by Daisaku and Kenji Murasame. Awakened by Daisaku, Ginrei performed an unprecedented teleportation, moving herself and the entire Ryozanpaku facility to St. Abbey (formerly Bashtarle).
In the final confrontation, she teleported aboard the Eye of Volger to face Emmanuel. This massive teleport caused her body's molecular structure to break down, her lower body vanishing mid-transport. Overwhelmed by anguish over Emmanuel's actions, she attempted to destroy the Shizuma sample but was stopped by his fatal shot. Emmanuel later realized his misguided vengeance and mourned Ginrei as her body faded from existence.
