Description
Takeru Yamato, a wandering swordsman and the narrative's central protagonist, arrives in Phoenix after winning a drinking contest against a merchant named Baan. A seasoned warrior who previously defeated the demonic Dragon Knights, Takeru finds a town cursed by the witch Mesaanya, inhabited mainly by young women and elderly men under commandments forbidding relationships. When Mesaanya steals the sacred evil-sealing scriptures Takeru delivered for the town's Elder, he reluctantly agrees to infiltrate her Witch Tower to retrieve them and break the curse. His focus shifts to rescuing the town's daughters, transformed into monster minions, including the Elder's granddaughter, Kate.
Joined by Baan, seeking legendary ore for anti-magic weapons, and later the priestess Sophia offering holy support, Takeru explores the tower. He collects scattered scriptures to reverse curses on individual girls, freeing them gradually. Mesaanya taunts him with visions of Kate. The party learns of two legendary artifacts: the Genji Armor, resisting all evil magic, and the Falcon Sword, capable of annihilating an evil being's immortal soul.
Sophia reveals herself as Mesaanya in disguise, gravely wounding Baan—exposed as a Dragon Knight descendant with partial demon heritage. Facing defeat, Takeru is unexpectedly identified as a "son of god." The Genji Armor spontaneously envelops him, and the Falcon Sword flies to his hand. He duels Mesaanya, destroys her body and evil essence, and defeats her. Freed after Mesaanya's demise, Kate reveals the witch developed genuine feelings for Takeru, though her hatred of men prevailed. With peace restored, Takeru spends a night with Kate before departing.
Later, after leaving Phoenix, Takeru encounters a young person named Jodis, in trouble for theft. He saves Jodis, and they share shelter for a night where Takeru discovers Jodis is actually a girl. When Jodis is later kidnapped, Takeru undertakes a rescue mission.
