Description
Redon, exiled prince of Da'nan and son of Lord Haven and Lady Meira, witnessed the massacre of his parents during the attack on their royal castle. This trauma forged his initial quest for vengeance, compelling him to answer the god Barbas's call and enter Crystania alongside companions Nasare, Kwairde, Aderishia, Raifan, and Obier.

His personality is marked by acute sensitivity and impulsiveness, driven by a profound childhood fear and hatred of death stemming from experiences like losing a family pet cat. This fear erupts in intense emotional reactions to threats against his human or animal friends, often driving him to tears or desperate acts of protection. As an outsider in Crystania, he frequently struggles against or rejects its societal norms, especially its acceptance of fatalism and servitude to gods.

During his journey, he forges bonds with characters including Sheru and the twins Irim and Kirim. The death of his horse, Grabia, during a critical mission underscores his vulnerability to loss; he mourns briefly before pressing on. His moral convictions face a severe test when Barbas offers unlimited power in exchange for killing Sheru—an offer he unequivocally rejects, choosing instead to confront the god directly.

In the Chaos Ring storyline, he investigates the resurgence of ancient sealed creatures and the breaking of the Seal, an event which revives his presumed-dead companion Aderishia. His journey with Irim and Kirim reveals their destinies as "Keys of Crystania," culminating in Kirim’s transformation into a winged being tasked with guiding souls. Redon’s inability to prevent Irim’s sacrifice or Kirim’s departure deepens his sorrow and hardens his rejection of Crystania’s cyclical reliance on divine intervention.

His trauma resurfaces vividly within the Chaos World, where he relives his earliest experiences with death. Tormented by illusions, he nearly succumbs to despair until Kirim intervenes, grounding him emotionally. Alongside Sheru, he confronts illusions of Ashram’s tormentor and aids in freeing Ashram’s soul, ultimately contributing to Barbas’s defeat and the resetting of Crystania’s divine cycle.

Redon evolves from vengeance-driven isolation toward a protective role, emphasizing the value of living for oneself—a principle he imparts to Kirim. Despite this growth, he retains his rejection of Crystania’s fatalism, embodying a persistent tension between his innate compassion and the world’s harsh realities.
