Description
Toshimichi Izawa maintains Drive Heads and constructs support vehicles as a Mobile Rescue Police mechanic. He presents an overweight physique with buzzcut brown hair and black eyes, consistently wearing a purple jacket with white and black sections, purple pants featuring a black stripe, and white boots. His friendly personality combines a strong work ethic with deep passion for machinery. He maintains constant collaboration with fellow mechanic Hayato Isurugi, both operating under Chief Engineer Jō Kurumada and taking mission commands from Arisa Munakata.

Beyond maintenance, Izawa co-developed and operates the Rescue Bull Chainsaw—a docked fusion of Rescue Chainsaw and Rescue Bulldozer—alongside Isurugi. This vehicle enables Synchro Fusions with Drive Heads like White Hope and Rescue Backdraft, forming enhanced units such as White Hope Heavy Blade Stronger. During its inaugural deployment, Mikoto Ishino’s operation caused unintended vehicle damage, leaving Izawa and Isurugi disappointed despite mission success.

Izawa actively engages in field operations, attending a city car show with Isurugi and Gou Kurumada where they countered a rogue self-driving car. He assisted disaster response at Ooguma Dam during overflow risks and cleared landslide-blocked zones. He also filmed instructional material for new recruits.

Investigating hazardous Black Chips, prolonged exposure to their emitted sounds drove Izawa and Isurugi into temporary aggression, causing them to attack colleagues until the analysis machine shut down. Later, when Transporter Gaia became Black Chip-infected, both mechanics joined other Transporter units to contain the threat.

During the Ark supercomputer confrontation, Izawa and Isurugi identified the critical route enabling Gou Kurumada’s advance. In subsequent movie events, as Terra assaulted the Mobile Rescue Police’s cyber network, Izawa externally operated simulation equipment alongside Isurugi and Munakata to support Gou’s counterattack.

Within the web series continuity, occurring post-TV series amid Earth’s axis shift and abnormal weather, Izawa persists in rescue duties during flooding disasters. He contributes to Drive Head Mk-III upgrade initiatives, maintaining his established role as mechanic and support vehicle operator.
