TV-Series
Description
Kinshirō Kusatsu holds the position of student council president at Binan High School, consistently achieving top academic marks in his grade. His exceptional wealth shapes a refined demeanor and occasional misunderstandings about everyday life. He possesses distinctive silver bob-cut hair, sharp green eyes, and stands 176 cm tall, making him the shortest member of the Conquest Club. He typically wears the student council's formal white uniform.

In childhood, Kinshirō was kind-hearted, deeply cherishing his friendship with Atsushi Kinugawa, symbolized by a shared wish on a shooting star to remain friends forever. This bond fractured during middle school when he witnessed Atsushi eating curry with En Yufuin; misinterpreting it as betrayal, he distanced himself without explanation. The incident fueled years of resentment, particularly toward En, and manifested as jealousy whenever Atsushi interacted with others. As student council president, Kinshirō initially presents as strict, orderly, and arrogant, enforcing rules rigidly. Beneath this exterior lies a pure, almost childish sensitivity and a tsundere nature, concealing genuine care behind coldness.

Utilizing a rhombus-shaped ring, Kinshirō transforms into the golden knight Aurite (Orite) by declaring "Conquest!" His Aurite form in Season 1 features a black military-style coat with gold accents and a red cape, later switching to a white-and-gold version after reconciliation. His powers manipulate light, embodying "blinding" or harsh light associated with extravagance and corrupted authority, contrasting Yumoto Hakone's warmer light. He wields a rapier, emits energy beams, and executes attacks like Ultima Adamas alongside fellow Chevaliers. Under extreme negativity, he accesses a darker alter ego, Dark Aurite, characterized by red eyes, purple lips, and destructive techniques such as Ater Aurum and Gigant Aurum.

A pivotal arc concludes Season 1: revelations about staged battles and Atsushi saving him from debris lead to reconciliation. Kinshirō admits his lingering hurt over their fractured friendship and joins forces with the Earth Defense Club against a greater threat. Post-reconciliation, he exhibits significant development: becoming noticeably happier, blushing at mentions of Atsushi, and displaying overprotectiveness—such as impulsively arranging international travel when Atsushi misses a message. He retains his fastidiousness but softens toward former rivals.

In Season 2, he temporarily studies abroad but returns promptly when Binan faces new threats. His hobbies include Japanese archery. His preferences encompass visiting Sanjūsangen-dō Temple and eating kintsuba and amanattō, while disliking curry and coriander. The etymology of his surname references Kusatsu Onsen, a renowned hot-spring destination in Japan.

His involvement extends beyond the main series into spin-offs and adaptations, including *Happy Kiss!* (set 13 years later) and the 2025 film. Kinshirō's narrative consistently revolves around atoning for past actions while navigating rekindled bonds.
