Description
Tsugumi Hattori’s long green hair flows into short ponytails adorned with glinting gold ornaments, framing red eyes that contrast her white kimono—a canvas of dark pink and green flourishes, floral collars, and sakura blossoms. She wields Twin Soaring Swallows, tonfa-like blades, and the Green Sword Soul technique, lashing whips to blind or ensnare foes.

Orphaned young, she and her sister Tsubame found refuge with Hideo Kosameda, leader of the Kosameda Bushi, until Tsubame’s death left Tsugumi trapped under Hideo’s cruelty. Surviving his abuse forged her dread of toxicity and reliance on obedience to authority—a cycle shattered by alliances with two companions. Together, they liberated her from Hideo’s grip and shielded their village from supernatural ruin.

Beneath her kindness lies a tactical mind: she disarms adversaries with calculated charm and deflects threats with strategic binds. Her jealousy over a companion’s dalliances betrays unspoken affections, while her early quest for validation drove her to serve imagined "lords," a role later playfully claimed by an ally.

Her path weaves from isolation to kinship. The Kosameda Bushi Arc charts her shift from reluctant thief to village guardian, severing Hideo’s chains. In the Daito Mine Arc, she voices her hunger for camaraderie, devising battle strategies and outmaneuvering enemies—capturing blades through foresight, orchestrating foes’ downfalls. A defining moment sees her grappling with weapons’ duality: she denies their power to replace lost kin yet embraces their emotional weight.

Subsequent trials test loyalty during rescues, political strife among allies, and wars against annihilation. Her sister’s legacy of protection fuels her resolve, yet she carves her own autonomy. Through alliances, she heals from abuse, learns the strength of mutual aid, and reclaims agency in a world bent on subjugation. Bonds with peers temper her protective zeal with self-discovery, steering her from servitude to forging her own destiny.
