Description
Hayato Izumi is a responsible and pragmatic high school student who loses the Seifu High student council presidency election to his charismatic rival, Ui Wakana. She campaigned on liberalizing romance and distributing condoms. Accepting the vice-presidential role, Hayato soon discovers an arranged engagement to Ui, stemming from a drunken parental agreement years prior, forcing her to move into his apartment. He lives alone, his father working in Europe and his mother deceased.
Initially resistant to the engagement and Ui's overt romantic and sexual advances, Hayato struggles to maintain his serious, studious demeanor while hiding their cohabitation from the school, especially the disciplinary committee led by Rin Misumi. His desperate attempts to conceal evidence of Ui lead him to claim her underwear and lip gloss as his own, fabricating an embarrassing cross-dressing habit as cover. Despite his protests, he frequently experiences physiological arousal—nosebleeds and visible excitement—during Ui's intimate provocations.
Self-sufficient and accustomed to managing household chores independently before Ui's arrival, Hayato contrasts with her dependent home nature. He often serves as the straight man to her energetic unconventionality but gradually develops genuine respect and affection. His internal conflict between propriety and attraction manifests through visual "Bad Angels" metaphors when impulses intensify.
His interactions extend to Rin Misumi, beginning antagonistically due to opposing views on school rules and Ui's policies. This evolves into belligerent sexual tension. Rin occasionally targets him for perceived violations but avoids severe punishment. Later, she shows tolerance, even permitting specific physical contact, complicating his dynamic with both women.
Throughout the series, Hayato experiences significant milestones with Ui, including losing his virginity to her. His character arc progresses from reluctant fiancé to a more accepting partner, balancing vice-presidential duties with his secret home life. He attracts attention from other female characters, including Rin and student council members, but his primary commitment remains to Ui.
