Episode is one of three vampire hunters who ambushed and dismembered Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade, specifically stealing her left arm. A vampire-human half-breed, he occupies a distinct hybrid status. His primary motivation for targeting Kiss-shot was a desire to elevate his standing within the supernatural hierarchy by defeating a legendary figure, seeking recognition and power through this act.

In combat, Episode wields a large silver cross as his weapon and possesses the ability to transform his body into a mist-like substance, leveraging this intangibility as a tactical advantage. During his battle with Koyomi Araragi, he disembowels Tsubasa Hanekawa after she inadvertently enters the conflict, inflicting a fatal injury. Before succumbing, Hanekawa deduces Episode's weakness – the vulnerability of his mist form to particulate interference like sand or dust – and communicates this to Araragi. Acting on this information, Araragi throws sand into Episode's mist form, forcing it to solidify. This enables Araragi to physically subdue him through strangulation.

Defeated, Episode is compelled to surrender Kiss-shot’s left arm, fulfilling part of Araragi’s objective to restore the vampire’s limbs.
