Shinohara-san is a young woman who first encounters Komatsu after mistaking his glassblowing workshop for a café, resulting in an awkward introduction. This meeting positions her as a potential romantic interest for him. She is kind and soft-spoken, maintaining patience even when aware that Komatsu’s Shiba Inu, Muco, dislikes her out of jealousy. She remains oblivious to the romantic feelings both Komatsu and his best friend Ushikou-san harbor for her, seeing them only as close friends. Her younger brother, Tamaki, later becomes Komatsu’s glassblowing apprentice, deepening her ties to the workshop’s social circle.
