Description
Komatsu-san runs a glassblowing workshop and gallery nestled in the mountains, crafting art glass and selling it to visitors. This workshop is the central hub for his interactions. He shares his life with Muco, a female Shiba Inu he has raised since she was a puppy, forming a bond of mutual affection. While patient, he scolds her energetic antics like stretching towels or disrupting his work, sometimes struggling to understand her canine perspective.
His long-time friend, Ushikou-san, dates back to their high school baseball days, cut short for Komatsu-san by an injury. Ushikou-san later sparked his passion for glassblowing by sharing a piece he made. Ushikou-san often visits the workshop, helps with business, and tries to teach him technology, highlighting Komatsu-san's limited tech skills.
Komatsu-san develops romantic feelings for Shinohara-san, a kind woman who initially mistook his workshop for a café, causing jealousy in Muco. Shinohara-san's younger brother, Tamaki-kun, becomes his glassblowing apprentice despite an initial fear of dogs.
Other regular connections include Bouda-san, a local bar owner and friend; Bouda-san's daughter Rena-chan, who develops an interest in glassblowing after seeing his work; and Dr. Mutou, the local vet whose examinations frighten Muco and whose flirtations cause Komatsu-san discomfort. His daily existence revolves around his craft, managing the gallery, and navigating the relationships within his small mountain community.
