TV-Series
Description
Hina Takanashi, the youngest Takanashi sister, is three years old at the story's start. She is the biological daughter of Yuri and Shingo Takanashi, making her the only sister directly blood-related to their guardian, Yuuta Segawa, Yuri's younger brother. Her birthday falls on March 24th.

After her parents disappear and are presumed dead during a trip, Hina moves into Yuuta Segawa's small apartment with older sisters Sora and Miu. Due to her age, she initially fails to grasp the permanence of her parents' absence, repeatedly asking when they will return and believing them merely delayed. The family postpones a full explanation until around episode 12, when she prepares for a daycare performance. Learning the truth, she gradually accepts it, later expressing understanding that her mother is in heaven.

Hina exhibits an exceptionally friendly, cheerful, and fearless disposition. She approaches strangers without hesitation, endearing herself to the neighborhood and often receiving gifts from local shopkeepers. Her innocent, lively nature makes her universally beloved, including by Yuuta, who finds her charm irresistible. Despite her happiness, she deeply misses her parents and strives to be a "good girl," internalizing sadness to avoid burdening her sisters and Yuuta. She consciously avoids crying to prevent her sisters from crying.

Her speech development evolves noticeably. Early on, she mispronounces words, struggling with "j" and "s" sounds, leading her to call Yuuta "Oi-tan" instead of "Oji-tan" (uncle). By the 2nd OVA, she overcomes these difficulties, speaking clearly and showing increased behavioral maturity.

Hina adores the magical girl anime *Luna Luna Seven*, rarely missing an episode and role-playing its heroine. Her most treasured possession is a white plush bunny, handmade by her mother Yuri for her third birthday. She carries it whenever possible, attributing immense sentimental value to it.

Within the family, Hina acts as a unifying force. She shares a close bond with Sora and Miu and sees Yuuta as a primary caregiver. Her presence profoundly impacts those around her, softening even the initially strict landlady, Sawako Midorikawa. Hina's integration into Yuuta's life and home becomes central to their new family structure after the tragedy.
