Description
Münchhausen II, originally named Faust Münchhausen II, is the son of a Third Reich scientist executed by Nazi officials in 1944. His father died after failing to summon the ancient malevolent entity Kyō-Ō (Evil King) for Adolf Hitler, causing a catastrophic incident that destroyed half of Berlin. Surviving this, Münchhausen II inherited his father's occult research and nurtured a deep-seated vendetta against humanity. His lifelong mission became resurrecting the Kyō-Ō to enact global vengeance and destroy the prophesied supreme entity, the Chōjin (Overfiend), destined to merge the human, demon, and man-beast worlds.
Attending a Hitler Youth academy in his youth, he secretly pursued his father's occult studies. Discovered, he murdered the academy's principal and sacrificed a secretary to summon the banished demon Kohōki as his loyal servant. Through Kohōki, he learned of the Makai (demon realm), Jūjinkai (man-beast realm), and Ningenkai (human realm), solidifying his plan to kill the Chōjin and dominate all three realms using the Kyō-Ō's power.
By the 1990s, he relocated to Tokyo and built a new summoning portal in Shinjuku's Shintocho Building. Identifying Tatsuo Nagumo as the Chōjin's human host, he needed a vessel for the Kyō-Ō. He selected Nagumo's cousin, Takeaki Kiryū, orchestrating a plane crash that killed Takeaki's parents. Disguised as a medic, Münchhausen II saved Takeaki via a blood transfusion from Nagumo, deliberately infusing him with the Chōjin's blood to initiate his transformation into the Kyō-Ō's host. He then psychologically manipulated Takeaki, inducing violent outbursts and using him to kidnap women as sacrificial offerings.
To ensure Takeaki's complete corruption, Münchhausen II targeted Megumi Amano, a man-beast romantically involved with Takeaki. He kidnapped Megumi and attempted to force Takeaki to rape and kill her. When Kohōki rebelled, Münchhausen II used a mystical orb to mentally enslave him. During the confrontation atop Shinjuku's skyscrapers, Megumi killed Takeaki. Münchhausen II was maimed by Megumi's brother, Amano Jyaku, who severed his limbs and destroyed the orb with a helicopter rotor. The overloaded ritual machine exploded, but Münchhausen II survived. He replaced his lost limbs and eye with cybernetics and transported Takeaki's corpse to the Gokumonkyō shrine in the man-beast world, using his blood to activate the Kyō-Ō's idol.
Decades later, after the Chōjin merged the three worlds apocalyptically, Münchhausen II resurfaced as "Faust." He allied with the cyborg tyrant Caesar, creating an empire in Tokyo's ruins and enslaving the Makemono race. Together, they sought to control the Kyō-Ō to kill the Chōjin. Using Nagumo's discarded heart, they created the demon Negros, intending to merge it with the Kyō-Ō to form the Chōjin-destroying weapon Faburil. Münchhausen II replaced his lost orb with the third eye of the Gokumonkyō idol. He captured the fugitive Buju, believing him the Kyō-Ō, but discovered the entity was the human infant Himi. After Nagumo attacked Himi, Münchhausen II protected her and imprisoned her within the Gokumonkyō idol to complete the fusion with Negros.
During Caesar's nuclear assault on the Chōjin's stronghold, Münchhausen II battled Amano Jyaku atop a missile. The confrontation ended with Faburil's destruction by the Chōjin. Following Caesar's empire's collapse, Münchhausen II's organic body decomposed. He sought the demon princess Yoenki, manipulating her into believing Amano Jyaku killed her brother. He then consumed the Kyō-Ō's blood from the Gokumonkyō idol, transforming into a god-like being intent on universal domination. His final fate remains unresolved.
