Amano Megumi is the sister of Amano Jyaku, the central figure in the Urotsukidōji saga. Her portrayal diverges between the manga and anime. In the manga, she is highly sexed and rivals Akemi Itō for the affections of Tatsuo Nagumo, the human destined to become the Chōjin, whom she believes is the Chōjin from the story's outset. She travels from the demon world to the human world seeking her brother, complicating his mission to protect the Chōjin. In the earlier anime Part III (*Return of the Overfiend*), she becomes a conduit for the Chōjin's will, a significant development with unresolved consequences. Within *Inferno Road*, her role diminishes. She journeys with survivors across a post-apocalyptic wasteland toward Osaka and an anticipated confrontation with the Chōjin, though narrative focus shifts primarily to characters like Himi (the Kyo-Ō/Lord of Chaos) and Buju. Her unresolved status as the Chōjin's vessel and her relationship with her brother remain undeveloped within *Inferno Road*.
