He arrived in Japan two years before Batman. Alfred established a makeshift Batcave in Edo, providing logistical and technical assistance to Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Catwoman, Gorilla Grodd, and Eian, leader of the Bat Clan of Hida. He supported their battles against the Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, and Deathstroke. Alfred coordinated efforts to retrieve power converters for the Quake Engine while helping the Bat Clan fulfill their prophecy of a foreign bat ninja restoring order to the warring states.

After the villains' defeat, Alfred assisted in returning everyone to present-day Gotham City. Back in Gotham, he greeted Bruce in an alleyway, presenting him with a tuxedo for the Mayor's party. When Bruce inquired about the car, Alfred indicated a horse-drawn Batmobile, describing it as vintage. This adaptation reflected the temporal displacement's lingering effects on technology. Alfred's actions consistently centered on supporting Batman's mission and maintaining operational readiness across both time periods.
