Tío Jam, known as Jam Ojisan in Japanese, is the creator and paternal figure of Anpanman. Tío Jam possesses extensive culinary expertise and is recognized as a knowledgeable figure about nearly everything in the world. Batako-san (Butter Girl) serves as his bakery assistant and crafts the flying capes for Anpanman and other heroes. His bakery functions as Anpanman’s base of operations, with Anpanman patrolling the surrounding areas from there. Tío Jam embodies a nurturing, supportive presence within the series, acting as the source of Anpanman’s power and a symbol of sustenance and care.
