Description
Hitoya Amaguni, performing under the stage name Heaven & Hell, balances careers as a lawyer and a member of Nagoya's rap group Bad Ass Temple. Initially pursuing medicine, he engaged in medical relief during World War III before shifting paths to law. This career change coincided with his academic history alongside Jakurai Jinguji, whose consistent academic superiority fueled Hitoya's competitive drive.

The suicide of his brother, a victim of severe bullying, profoundly shaped Hitoya. It forged his enduring hatred of bullying and injustice, defining his legal practice. He accepts any winnable case for payment but provides free consultations and representation to bullying victims regardless of their ability to pay, facilitated by his self-owned law firm.

Personally stern and critical, Hitoya frequently voices dislikes with his signature phrase "there are two things I hate." Despite this abrasiveness, he possesses deep compassion and an unwavering commitment to protecting the vulnerable and confronting oppression. Resilience born from past trauma is bolstered by support from Jakurai and his Bad Ass Temple teammates.

Hitoya co-founded Bad Ass Temple with Kuko Harai and Jyushi Aimono, forming a familial unit where he serves as the "Brains," contrasting Jyushi’s "Beauty" and Kuko’s "Brawn." His mentorship proved crucial for Jyushi; Hitoya intervened to prevent Jyushi's suicide after bullies caused his grandmother's death. This included taking legal action against the bullies and encouraging Jyushi towards music, leading to Jyushi's visual kei career.

His Hypnosis Mic rap ability, "Objection," reflects opponents' attacks back at them, embodying his defensive role. Visually, he sports a grey mullet styled in a rockabilly pompadour, light grey eyes with green and purple accents, and a chin goatee. His typical attire features a cream-and-blue double rider jacket bearing the Bad Ass Temple symbol on the lapel. His Hypnosis Mic manifests as a ribbon microphone with scale-shaped handles.

Trivia notes: He dislikes fruits in salads and pineapple in sweet-and-sour pork. He once aspired to be a magician under the moniker "Heaven the Magic King." His name carries symbolism: "Hitoya" (獄) relates to "hell" (地獄), while "Amaguni" (天国) translates to "heaven."
