Description
Chateau Dankworth entered life as Chateau Nobel, daughter to the heir of the Nobel lineage, French aristocrats. Her childhood shattered when Hong Kong triads, acting on orders from her father's stepbrother Donald Bachman, assassinated her parents. Amidst the attack, the real Son Ryang-ha, a Korean student assigned as her protector, spirited her to safety.

Consumed by confusion and fear, she accidentally inflicted a fatal gunshot wound on the real Ryang-ha, leading to his death from blood loss. This trauma plunged her into a catatonic state. Police investigator Abel Dankworth discovered her unconscious in a sedan near the scene. She possessed no memory of her past or true identity, retaining only her first name "Chateau."

Abel Dankworth and his wife Anna adopted her shortly after Abel retired from the force. Despite no official records for "Chateau Noble," the Dankworths preserved the name to shield her from her former life and lingering threats. They provided stability, though she initially struggled to form emotional bonds with them. As an adult, she forged a close bond with her adoptive mother, Anna, following Abel's death.

Chateau became a bounty hunter employed by the security firm Ritzland Support, earning a reputation for efficiency and a stoic, pragmatic approach. Her expressionless demeanor and reserved nature led others to perceive her as cold, dubbing her the "Ice Queen." Her routine fractured upon encountering an assassin using the name Ryang-ha Song, who had adopted the identity of her deceased childhood protector after being saved by him years prior.

This Ryang-ha displayed persistent romantic interest, consistently rejected despite his repeated interventions in her missions. Her past violently resurfaced when Donald Bachman captured her and forced her to confront the suppressed memory of accidentally killing the real Ryang-ha, restoring her childhood recollections. After facing the truth of her origins, she consciously rejected her Nobel heritage and reaffirmed her identity as a Dankworth.

Her background rendered her vulnerable to ongoing threats, particularly from individuals targeting Ryang-ha or seeking leverage, like exploiting her adoptive mother. Despite these dangers, she persisted in her work as a bounty hunter while navigating the unresolved tensions between her past and present.
