TV-Series
Description
Pina is a male Dall sheep and a first-year student at Cherryton Academy, where he becomes a new member of the prestigious Drama Club. Standing at 174 cm tall with a slender build, he is widely considered exceptionally handsome, a quality he is very aware of and cultivates. His most distinctive physical features are his large, robust, curved horns and his long, curly white wool, which resembles a flowing mane. He is typically seen in the standard school uniform but wears a black shirt during club activities.
Personality wise, Pina is characterized by his cocky, laid-back, and unabashedly narcissistic demeanor. He is openly disdainful towards carnivores, often provoking them with careless and insulting remarks, and seems to take pleasure in bothering others, particularly Legoshi. Despite his antagonistic behavior, he is not inherently malicious but rather possesses a mischievous and attention-seeking nature. Pina is a self-professed ladies' man who does not believe in monogamy, openly advocating for free love and having been known to date multiple girls at the same time, a habit that sometimes backfires when he confuses their names. However, beneath his superficial and hedonistic exterior lies a surprising amount of courage, intelligence, and an unexpected will to live.
His primary motivation for joining the Drama Club is not clearly stated, but he quickly ascends to become one of its star actors following the departure of Louis, effectively filling the vacant role with a much more flamboyant and less stoic presence. In the story, Pina plays a crucial role in the murder case of the alpaca Tem. He inadvertently becomes entangled when he witnesses Legoshi confronting the killer, the bear Riz, and uses his wits to blackmail the carnivore into letting them both escape. He later becomes a key figure in the conflict, acting as a hostage and a piece of psychological leverage for Riz, who threatens to eat him.
Pina shares several key relationships that define his development. His dynamic with Legoshi is complex; he frequently mocks and provokes the wolf, yet he also shows a form of loyalty and concern, intervening to save him and later expressing frustration at Legoshi's reckless tendencies. His most significant relationship is with Riz. Initially a target of the bear's hostility and intimidation, Pina undergoes a profound change after his life is threatened. The fear he experiences makes him realize his deep-seated desire to live, leading to a defiant performance on stage that shocks Riz. Later, after Riz is imprisoned, Pina secretly visits him twice a month, and their relationship evolves into an unexpected, genuine friendship, with Pina referring to Riz as his first male friend.
Throughout the series, Pina experiences notable growth. He starts as a purely hedonistic character who believes his existence has little value beyond his looks, but a near-death experience awakens in him a strong survival instinct and a deeper appreciation for life. His journey shows a shift from a shallow playboy to someone capable of forming a meaningful, if unconventional, friendship with a carnivore who once wanted to eat him. His notable abilities are largely intellectual and psychological. He is exceptionally clever and manipulative, able to talk his way out of life-threatening situations and outmaneuver physically superior carnivores using logic and threats. His large horns, which he primarily values for their aesthetic appeal, also prove to be a practical tool, as he uses them to break free from the ropes binding him.
