TV-Series
Description
Alicia is one of the main characters in the Clevatess series, originally one of the thirteen heroes sent by the King of Hiden to defeat the mighty beast Clevatess. She is the only woman among this group and is distinguished by her exceptional skill and determination. After the heroes are killed by Clevatess, he resurrects Alicia, intending for her to help care for an infant named Luna, which marks the beginning of her complex journey.
In appearance, Alicia is a young woman of average height with long blonde hair and blue eyes. As a hero, she wore silver chest plate armor with gold lining and a blue cape bearing the crest of Hiden. Following her death and resurrection at the hands of Clevatess, her appearance changes drastically to reflect her ordeal. She retains the battle scars from her fatal encounter, most notably losing her left eye, which is now concealed by a black eyepatch and marked by a large scar extending up to her forehead. Her left leg, which was supposedly severed, also bears visible cross-shaped scars. Her current attire is more practical, consisting of a sturdy long-sleeved tunic dress with a fitted leather harness.
Alicia's personality is shaped by a lifelong dream of becoming a hero, driven by a deep desire to broaden the world and see what lies beyond the horizon. This ambition is tempered by humility and a cautious nature, as she learned to conceal her true identity and strengths. She is haunted by the trauma caused by Dorel, the man who killed her father, and struggles with fear but perseveres with impressive resolve. After becoming a servant to Clevatess, she develops some anti-hero characteristics, such as refusing to help bandits under attack, yet she still maintains her caring side. A significant part of her internal conflict is the immense guilt she feels for the suffering caused to villages that followed the king's orders to fight Clevatess, even though she was merely following commands. She despises being useless and feels deep shame when she cannot protect others or help Clevatess understand sorcery. Furthermore, she views the immortality granted to her by Clevatess as a curse and a living hell, hating that she was resurrected while her fellow heroes were killed, and she describes the painful process of her body's recovery as worse than death.
Alicia's primary motivation stems from a childhood tragedy. Her father, Margo, a former swordmaster hero, was killed by Dorel, a former comrade who sought to increase his own power. This event instilled in her a deep hatred and a desire for revenge, which she initially repressed at her father's request, as he did not want her to stray from her heroic path. Her role in the story is initially defined by her servitude to Clevatess, to whom she must obey as her master after being resurrected. Her duties involve helping care for Luna, the baby Clevatess has taken in. As the narrative progresses, she becomes a central figure in the quest for revenge against Dorel and in protecting those she comes to care about.
Key relationships define much of her journey. Her relationship with Clevatess is complicated, starting from a master-servant dynamic but gradually blossoming into a form of friendship. She is partly grateful to him for not forcing her to give up her mission as a heroine and for showing her that her strength can make the world bigger for others. She also shows genuine concern for his well-being. With Luna, she initially struggles to care for him, being heavy-handed and bruising him, but she grows to care for him deeply. She was enraged when Clevatess considered abandoning Luna, recognizing that the baby has a pacifying influence on the beast. Her relationship with Dorel is one of pure hatred, and after being resurrected, she finally achieves her revenge by destroying his Regalia, the Dark Dragon, leading to his demise. She forms a good relationship with Nelluru, a wet nurse who joins their group, and even offers to die temporarily so Clevatess could revive her. She also becomes a trusted ally and eventual bodyguard to Queen Toara, who confides in her.
Throughout the story, Alicia undergoes significant development. She begins as an aspiring hero seeking to avenge her father but is killed in her first major battle. Her resurrection forces her to confront her new reality as an immortal servant while clinging to her heroic ideals. She struggles with the curse of her immortality and the guilt of her survival. However, she learns to balance her deep-rooted desire to be a noble hero with the harsh necessities of her situation, developing a steely resolve that allows her to defeat her enemies without losing her sense of hope. Her journey culminates in her confrontation with Dorel, where she finally avenges her father and closes a painful chapter of her life.
Alicia possesses notable abilities that make her a formidable warrior. As the daughter of the legendary swordmaster hero Margo, she has trained since childhood and reached the highest echelons of power. She is a highly skilled swordswoman with a rare talent called hearing the voice of the sword, a family trait that allows her to draw out more power from a blade than anyone else. Her skill is such that she was the only one among the thirteen heroes to land a blow on Clevatess, scratching his horn, and she is considered the strongest and most formidable hero in Edthea. After being resurrected by Clevatess's dark ichor, she gains supernatural abilities. She becomes an immortal animated corpse, able to live without dying as long as the demonic blood remains in her body, though she cannot disobey Clevatess or commit suicide. This undead nature allows her to use tactics that would cripple a normal person, such as blocking a sword with her forearm or dislocating her shoulders to escape shackles, and she can remain underwater indefinitely, though it is a painful experience. Her body can heal and regenerate, but the process is excruciating and can be disrupted by certain poisons. In her journey, she wields several Regalia weapons, including the legendary sword Stream Splitter, which previously belonged to the hero Khordhwar, and her original Regalia, Rock Swallow.
