Description
Chisato Shiraishi is a character from the anime Kill Blue. She is a third-year student at Rikka Middle School and serves as the leader of the Home Economics Club, where the protagonist Juzo Ogami becomes a member. Chisato is also the older sister of Ryo Shiraishi, another student at the school, and she maintains a protective, watchful eye over his well-being.

Chisato is defined by a strongly maternal personality. She has an instinct to care for others as if she were a mother, which means she finds it very difficult to refuse when someone asks for her help. Even when she does not know the best way to assist someone, she does not hesitate to try, showcasing her inherently sweet and giving nature. This kind and helpful disposition is balanced by a noticeable awkwardness around boys; she does not feel confident dealing with them and often has to ask others for assistance in such situations. Her appearance typically features her blue hair styled into two buns on the sides of her head, and while she wears the standard school uniform, she is often seen wearing an apron when she is participating in club activities. In the classroom, she is a member of Class 3-B.

Her primary motivation within the story is tied to her role in the Home Economics Club. She is proactive in recruiting new members, as seen when she attempts to recruit Juzo Ogami to join her club. Her dedication to the club also fuels a spirited rivalry with a student named Asahina, which began in their first year of high school. Their arguments over tea brewing escalated into a full-blown competition that Chisato won, leading to a lasting rivalry between their respective clubs at the Rikka festival.

Chisato has several key relationships that shape her role in the narrative. Her relationship with Tenma Tendo undergoes a significant evolution. Initially, she disliked him for speaking badly about her club and even supported others in a match against him. However, after Tenma was injured, Chisato began visiting him to check on his injuries, which led him to fall in love with her and ask her on a date. Following this date, the two become very close, behaving like a couple, though Chisato herself insists they are not officially dating. She also has a protective, older-sister dynamic with her fellow club member Noren Mitsuoka, often giving her advice. Toward Juzo Ogami, she feels a sense of concern, finding him strange but appreciating him as a friend.

The character shows notable development in her personal relationships, particularly in her ability to move from conflict to closeness with Tenma Tendo. Her initial hostility transforming into deep care and concern demonstrates a capacity for emotional growth and a willingness to look past first impressions. Regarding notable abilities, Chisato's primary skills are not combat-oriented but rather centered on domestic science and leadership. As the head of the Home Economics Club, she is proficient in activities like cooking and tea preparation, a talent that was proven in her victory against her rival Asahina. Her maternal nature and ability to care for others also function as her defining social strength within the series.
