TV-Series
Description
Fumiya Itō is a nineteen-year-old character who serves as the embodiment of the Charisma of Good and Evil. He is the youngest resident of the sharehouse where the story takes place, born on April 28.
In terms of background, Fumiya resides in room 206 on the second floor of the house. His personal space is described as eerily unremarkable, with his signature orange jacket hanging on a wall hook being the only clear indication the room belongs to him. The room contains several plants scattered about, two small bookshelves filled with books, and a study desk. A black loveseat against the wall functions as his bed, as evidenced by a yellow blanket sprawled on it.
Fumiya has a distinctive appearance, featuring purple eyes and slicked-back black hair with two strands falling over his face. His typical attire consists of an oversized orange jacket with a black square design on its right side, a loose white t-shirt featuring the same graphic, loose dark gray pants, and bulky white sneakers with blue accents.
His personality is defined by a shifty and shady demeanor, which stems largely from his unique sense of morality. Fumiya tends to do things at his own pace and leisure, only pausing to reflect on his actions when prompted by his housemates. This tendency, combined with his habit of obscuring his true intentions, makes him a difficult person to converse with. However, despite the confusion he may cause in conversation, he possesses a logical line of reasoning that cannot be easily countered or argued against, which often causes those around him to follow his lead unknowingly.
Even when his fellow housemates struggle to understand his intentions, Fumiya demonstrates a thorough understanding of their feelings and behaviors. He appears to be aware of their backgrounds even before they moved into the house. While his particular style of compassion tends to go over the others heads, his timing always proves to be appropriate. His core motivation appears to be self-interest, as he cares about himself and does whatever benefits him the most, whether for amusement or for physical and mental stability. He is also deeply curious about his housemates and their potential.
Regarding key relationships, Fumiya frequently uses Iori Motohashi, reasoning that if Iori wants to be a slave, there should be no reason not to utilize him. Despite overworking Iori, he still ensures Iori remains healthy enough to continue, and he knows the best ways to make Iori productive as well as the best ways to get him to rest. With Terra, Fumiya understands how to avoid being bothered, often offering compliments just when Terra wants to scold or question him. His ideals frequently conflict with those of Rikai Kusanagi, as his morally gray behavior can cause other residents to act more erratically. He enjoys teasing Rikai and knows what provokes him, though he generally goes along with Rikai. Fumiya knows that Kei Sarukawa comes from Picasso and offers him help; even when rejected, he continues researching on his own. With Ohse Minato, he listens to Ohse's pessimistic feelings and responds in a morally gray but comforting way, finding Ohse's presence interesting and enjoyable.
In terms of development and notable abilities, Fumiya is the only resident not allowed to drink alcohol, being one year below the legal drinking age in Japan. In group songs, he typically raps. He does not know how to swim, his favorite foods are sweets, and he dislikes bitter things. He puts a significant amount of sugar and milk in his coffee. When asked about something he would really like to do, he expresses interest in participating in a dog sled race. He claims his final move in a fight is a headbutt, though he later says he only tells lies, making this information potentially false. While stating he does not really have a hobby, he mentions being an avid reader. He often hiccups when he wakes up, and according to another resident, when he does laundry, he has a tossing vibe, with his socks and underwear always turned inside out.
