Description
Erika Meinohama, a 16-year-old student at Chidori High School, commands respect in the shooting club through her unparalleled rifle skills. Her long, dark crimson hair cascades down her back, accented by two hair bands, while her fringe frames thin eyebrows and piercing yellow eyes. She favors dark red jackets and pants, mirroring her hair’s rich hue.

Born into a affluent Japanese-Russian family, Erika navigated childhood scrutiny with poise. As the club’s de facto leader, she lends her spare rifle jackets to members and guides practices with authority. Graceful and popular, she harbors a streak of vanity, recalling boasts of daily love letters in middle school.

During a school ceremony, Izumi recalls Erika reflecting on her second-place finish at the Junior Rifle Competition, where she’d expected victory. Hikari, accompanied by Izumi, approaches Erika outside, urging her to join the newly formed club. Recognizing Hikari’s superior skill, Erika agrees and later notes Yukio’s arrival as the fourth member.

At practice, Erika offers Hikari a spare jacket, proposes snacks from a supermarket, and hosts club discussions at her home. She reacts with mild dismay to Hikari’s playful bunny impression and notes her uncharacteristic seriousness during drills. Leading a practice match, Erika outlines rules on scoring and beam shots, firing methodically to avoid defeat.

In class, she observes Hikari and Izumi during P.E., excels in English reading with flawless pronunciation, and strikes out Yukio in baseball. Though initially dismissive of Hikari’s camaraderie, Erika becomes her mentor, clarifying match rules and gifting her first shooting outfit—later chosen by Hikari for its lingering scent.

Erika softens upon witnessing Izumi motivate Hikari with cakes to complete her shooting set. She invites the reserved Yukio to the club, advises her to enjoy shooting, and jests about her top exam scores, accusing her of cheating. To arrange a practice match, Erika contacts her cousin, Akira Shinonome.
