Description
Gettemhart is a human male ARKS operative distinguished by short blue hair, a facial tattoo, and asymmetrical warrior attire. He wields knuckles in combat, notorious for his aggressive, violent demeanor centered on battle. A core aspect of his background is his close bond with fellow ARKS member Melphonsina, a Newman techer. This bond shatters during a Dark Falz Apprentice attack on an ARKS ship; Melphonsina sacrifices herself to save Klariskrays II (later Matoi) by allowing her photons to be consumed in a purification attempt, resulting in her death and disintegration into light particles.
This loss profoundly impacts Gettemhart. Consumed by survivor's guilt and unable to accept Melphonsina's death, he descends into madness. He begins mistaking Melphonsina's younger sister, Melrondia, for Melphonsina herself, projecting his attachment onto her. This psychological break transforms him into an increasingly unstable, violent figure, directing aggression indiscriminately during missions and conflicts, often endangering allies. His combat fixation intensifies. He sustains an X-shaped facial scar while protecting Melrondia from a sword beam attack by a Falz Appregina clone. His behavior creates friction, particularly with fellow ARKS member Zeno.
An alternate continuity features Gettemhult Gwinner, Gettemhart's Omegan counterpart within the dreamlike world Omega, sharing his appearance and core traits. Gettemhult and Melfonseana Riesfeldt are survivors of the Weyland Empire's gruesome Fiend Trooper experiments, where subjects were infused with mana via Ephemera (F-Factors). These experiments killed 4,094 out of 4,096 initial test subjects, leaving Gettemhult and Melfonseana terminally ill and physically deteriorated. They escape, dedicating themselves to overthrowing Emperor Schreger Weyland. After defending a settlement from Castrum Demonica-spawned supernaturals, they ally with the Guardian (player character) and Xiera. During the assault on the imperial capital, Schreger possesses Melfonseana's body. The possessed Melfonseana mortally wounds Gettemhult. With no alternative, Gettemhult sacrifices his remaining life force to empower the Guardian, enabling Schreger's defeat. This act results in his death, though his spirit lingers within the Guardian. He briefly controls the Guardian's body to comfort the dying Melfonseana before her body dissipates.
Both versions conclude tragically. Oracle Gettemhart remains trapped in grief-driven violence, his relationship with Melrondia defined by shared trauma and unresolved delusions. Omega Gettemhult dies through self-sacrifice after witnessing Melfonseana's possession and death, his spirit merging with the Guardian.
