Description
Shiori Yamaga, a 14-year-old from Aichi Prefecture, represents the Chūbu region in a national idol audition program. Born into a venerable family with centuries-old traditions, her upbringing blended rigorous academic training and exposure to her family’s kimono craftsmanship, which she channels into designing her idol group’s costumes. Initially hiding her audition participation from her grandmother and mother—guardians of the Yamato Nadeshiko ideals—she secretly trained to redefine her identity beyond their expectations. Her mother later uncovered her secret, endorsing her idol pursuits as a modern path to embodying Yamato Nadeshiko grace.

During the competition, she co-founded the bass-driven instrumental subunit GAPsCAPs, navigating alliances and rivalries with a competitive yet principled demeanor. Her journey centers on harmonizing familial legacy with personal ambition, aiming to leverage idolhood as a stage for societal acclaim and self-defined worth.

Standing 160 cm with a 44 kg frame, she sports neck-length brown hair and striking yellow eyes. Born September 1 under the Virgo sign, her meticulous nature shines in her strategic rehearsal methods and performance precision, cementing her as a disciplined, aspirational figure.
