Description
Liu Xiao holds a prominent position in the Shanghai Longhu-bang syndicate, orchestrating human trafficking networks spanning East and Southeast Asia. His enterprise capitalizes on impoverished communities, procuring children from desperate families to supply clandestine international slave markets. This lucrative trade fuels friction with Japan’s Suzaku Association, whose own operations lag financially behind Liu’s, sparking territorial clashes amplified by lingering Sino-Japanese hostilities.

Known for his icy pragmatism and unreadable narrow-eyed gaze, Liu favors crisp monochrome attire and collaborates closely with his partner, Chen Yao. Together, they repurposed a shell corporation into a financial powerhouse, eclipsing its former legitimate owners and drawing resentment from rival factions like Suzaku, which views his ascendancy as a threat.

When targeted by Team Confidence’s elaborate ruse—a fabricated assassination attempt—Liu unwittingly falls victim to their ploy. Laurent Thierry, posing as a translator, “saves” him from the staged attack, embedding himself within Liu’s inner circle. The infiltration culminates in a high-stakes auction where associates Seiji and Kim sabotage proceedings by fraudulently acquiring all trafficked victims. Liu’s empire, sustained by bribed officials, compromised airport personnel, and predatory recruiters, exposes the pervasive rot enabling his trade.

His dominance underscores the brutal commodification of Southeast Asia’s marginalized youth, their fates bartered for profit. Though Team Confidence dismantles his operations, the narrative shifts focus from Liu’s personal consequences to the entrenched systems permitting such exploitation, leaving his ultimate destiny unaddressed.
