Description
Daigo Oishi is a professional racing driver competing in the MFG circuit, piloting the number three Lamborghini Huracán. He is ranked twelfth in the series during his fourth year of competition. Born into considerable wealth, Oishi comes from a family of Lamborghini enthusiasts who are described as supremacists of the brand. This upbringing has heavily influenced his automotive beliefs; he firmly considers Lamborghini, with its large-displacement naturally aspirated engine, to be the superior supercar.

In terms of personality, Oishi holds a strong disdain for turbocharged vehicles, which puts him at odds with drivers like Kaito Akaba, who races a turbocharged Ferrari 488 GTB. His family's financial power on the track is a point of contention, leading to him being disliked by some fellow drivers, including Shun Aiba. A recurring technical challenge for Oishi is finding the right balance between the immense power of his car and maintaining adequate grip, a difficulty compounded by the MFG's regulations concerning the grip-to-weight ratio.

Within the story, Oishi is a member of the Divine Fifteen, the elite group of top-tier racers in the MFG. His performance across the season shows variability; he achieved a seventh-place finish at the Odawara race but did not finish the Ashinoko GT event. He placed seventh again at the Manazawa race and finished twelfth at Seaside Double Lane before ending the year in thirteenth place at the final race of the season, Atami Ghost.

One of his notable on-track moments occurs during the fifth round of the year. In a surprising turn of events, he is overtaken by Mai Sakurano at the Lost Ball Hairpin on the first lap of the race. However, Oishi demonstrates his competitive nature by recovering and overtaking Yudai Sakamoto at the Kinomiya Guard during the third lap, engaging in a battle with Sakamoto that lasts for the remainder of the race. He ultimately finishes in thirteenth place. Oishi is also noted as one of only three Divine Fifteen drivers to have retired from a race, a list that includes Shintaro Natsume and Jackson Taylor, marking a rare setback in his career. He is one of several drivers who completed all five rounds of his fourth season without switching to a different car mid-year.
