Description
Michael Beckenbauer is a German racing prodigy who enters the MFG competition as a late arrival midway through the third tournament. He is a graduate of Porsche's Motorsport Academy, and his presence in the series immediately shakes up the standings, earning him a spot in the elite God 15 and the nickname "Assassin from Stuttgart." He resides in a luxury Tokyo apartment with his older sister, Agnes Beckenbauer. On the surface, Beckenbauer comes across as prideful and arrogant, but during races he remains calm, collected, and highly analytical. He relies on logic, numbers, and probabilities to plan his every move, approaching each race with a mathematical precision that reflects his German training. This methodical style makes him a formidable opponent, but he also has a recognized weakness: when events deviate from his calculated forecasts, he can lose his composure. His motivation is driven by a desire for perfection and victory, and he initially views the Japanese racers, especially the protagonist Kanata Katagiri, as unworthy amateurs. Over the course of the story, Beckenbauer undergoes notable development. His encounters with Kanata force him to confront his own arrogance and appreciate the passion and skill of his rivals. This humbling experience transforms him from an aloof antagonist into a respected competitor who values teamwork and mutual respect. His key relationship is with Kanata Katagiri, starting as a fierce rivalry and gradually evolving into a bond of genuine admiration. Beckenbauer also shares a close sibling bond with his sister Agnes. On the track, he drives a Porsche 718 Cayman, later upgrading to GTS and GT4 variants, favoring the car's balanced handling over raw power. His notable abilities include strategic foresight, precise cornering, and an expert understanding of vehicle dynamics and racecraft.
