Description
Zen, also known as Victor or Li Zeyan, is the 28-year-old CEO of Loveland Financial Group (LFG), a major financial corporation. He projects a cold, strict, and sharp-tongued persona, often appearing difficult to please and solely focused on his company's success. Yet beneath this exterior lies a hidden warmth and capacity for care, especially directed towards the story's protagonist.

His Evol ability grants him Time Control, enabling him to freeze and manipulate time within his surroundings while allowing chosen individuals to remain unaffected; other Evolvers might resist or operate within his frozen time. This power undergoes significant evolution following key interactions with the protagonist, triggered when she instinctively saves him during a crisis—an echo of their shared past.

Zen endured a traumatic childhood imprisoned within a research facility, subjected to experiments. There, he met the protagonist as a young child; she saved him during an escape attempt, though they were separated afterward. He remembered her by the childhood nickname "Zéyán-gēgē" and later confirmed her identity through her actions and fragmented memories. His mother is deceased, and he occasionally speaks to her in his fluent French.

Professionally formidable, Zen possesses exceptional business acumen, having built LFG into a financial powerhouse in just eight years. He secretly manages and works as a chef at the restaurant Souvenir, reflecting his lesser-known passion for cooking. His relationship with the protagonist extends beyond business; she eventually becomes his closest aide after he is revealed as the head of the Black Swan organization, where she operates under the alias Nox.

Zen owns a pet cat named Pudding. His interactions often blend pragmatic support with subtle affection. His dynamic with the protagonist features belligerent sexual tension, marked by frequent arguments and his tendency to mask genuine concern behind criticism or sarcasm. He demonstrates consistent protectiveness, risking his safety for her on multiple occasions.

As the narrative unfolds, Zen evolves from an emotionally reserved CEO to someone who gradually acknowledges his vulnerabilities and connections. His development is intertwined with the protagonist's journey as they confront conspiracies related to Evol powers and their shared history with organizations like Black Swan.
