Description
Don Sauvage is a non-player character who serves as a ring announcer within the Street Fighter universe. Originating from Florida, USA, his official birth date is January 1st. He stands 187cm tall, and his blood type is O.

Before entering the world of combat sports, Don Sauvage was a member of a rock band that failed to achieve commercial success. His defining trait, his verbosity and quick banter, caught the attention of the CWA, which recruited him to work as a ring announcer. Following this initial hire, he transitioned into freelance work, providing his services to a variety of different organizations to enliven their matches.

Beyond the ring, Don Sauvage has a range of other professional activities. He hosts his own talk show in Las Vegas and has also worked at Zangief's box office. Additionally, he has taken on small roles in several films. His skills are not limited to announcing; he is noted to be particularly adept at discovering new talent, with many of his personal picks going on to have very successful careers.

Don Sauvage is visually distinctive, known for his flashy outfits, sunglasses, and the megaphone he carries, a look that is likely inspired by professional wrestling personality Jimmy Hart. This flamboyant appearance and his bombastic personality are central to his function as a large ham announcer who turns matches into major events. His likes include megaphones and standing out, while his dislikes are listed as taxes.

Within the story of Street Fighter V, Don Sauvage appears in several key contexts. He is the announcer for Zangief's character story and is also present in the background of the High Roller Casino stage. He plays a more active role in the cinematic story mode A Shadow Falls. After a match, he introduces Zangief and R. Mika to the ring to face the winner, Alex. However, his announcement is interrupted when Laura grabs his megaphone and enters herself into the match, a change to which Sauvage offers no objection.

A possible early version of the character can be seen as a man in a yellow suit in Balrog's stage from Super Street Fighter II, which was later updated to feature Don Sauvage himself in Street Fighter V.
