Description
Frieda, granddaughter of Ehrenfest Merchant Guildmaster Gustav, was born with the Devouring—a lethal illness stunting her growth and necessitating mana-draining magic tools for survival. To secure her future, Gustav arranged a submission contract with layscholar noble Lord Henrik, providing a mana-draining bracelet until adulthood, after which Frieda would become his mistress and establish a shop in the Noble’s Quarter.

Her light rose hair, styled in fluffy cherry blossom twin tails, frames brown eyes and a petite frame, consequences of her illness. By part 4, her growth stabilizes to match peers. Trained in noble etiquette, Frieda balances refined manners with shrewd business tactics, relentlessly pursuing profit and capitalizing on overlooked opportunities. She fiercely rivals merchant Benno over Myne’s innovations and harbors a passion for wealth rivaling Myne’s book obsession.

Frieda first encounters Myne while commissioning a baptismal hairpin, later bonding over their shared Devouring. She gifts Myne a broken magic tool, urging her to seek noble patronage. Despite Myne’s refusal, Frieda orchestrates collaborations, securing exclusive rights to sell pound cakes and organizing katolkarl taste-testing events. Though Frieda considers Myne her first friend, their bond remains one-sided, highlighted when Myne’s final blessing excludes her.

After Myne’s adoption as Rozemyne, Frieda deduces her identity and partners in launching an Italian restaurant in the Noble’s Quarter, merging her business acumen with noble connections to fulfill her long-term ambition. Her upbringing under Gustav’s influence instilled relentless negotiation skills and familial duty, pressuring her to uphold merchant traditions—once prompting Gustav to consider adopting Myne for advantageous contracts. Frieda mirrors her grandfather’s strategies, often echoing his phrases. Her hobbies—counting coins, hosting refined tea parties, and crafting sweets—blend mercantile zeal with social grace.
