Description
Lucas Lee, born in 1980, is the second of Ramona Flowers' seven evil exes and serves as a major antagonist in the original storyline, appearing as the final boss of the second volume. He is a professional skateboarder who transitioned into a career as an actor, starring in a series of cheesy action movies, only one of which is considered even moderately good. This career shift reflects a personality defined by arrogance, vanity, and a tendency to sell out for fame and fortune. He projects an image of effortless cool and superiority, often relying on his stunt team and dismissively referring to himself as an Oscar contender. Despite his bluster, he is a competent fighter, capable of easily defeating an off-guard Scott Pilgrim in hand-to-hand combat and has access to the subspace powers common in the universe, including reality manipulation, portal creation, and avatar creation.

In the original narrative, his primary motivation is to defeat Scott Pilgrim as a member of the League of Evil Exes, fulfilling a contract from the league's leader, Gideon Gordon Graves. He confronts Scott at a movie set and uses his stunt doubles, business acumen, and physical prowess to challenge him before being defeated. His role in the story is to test Scott's resolve and resourcefulness, ultimately being overcome when Scott forces him to perform a dangerous skateboarding stunt.

In the alternate-retelling anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Lucas Lee undergoes significant development. After Scott's early defeat and disappearance, Lucas is summoned by Matthew Patel to a meeting of the exes. He later becomes close friends with Gideon, the two forming a boisterous, destructive friendship that includes trashing Julie Powers' living room together. In this version, Lucas is no longer a direct antagonist; instead, he pursues a more relaxed life as an action star, often trying not to be the best in the world. He also becomes a playable character in the video game Scott Pilgrim EX, assisting Scott and Ramona in saving their bandmates. His key relationships include his status as an ex-boyfriend of Ramona Flowers (though the exact nature of their past relationship is not deeply explored), a former subordinate and later friend of Gideon, and a rival-turned-ally to Scott Pilgrim. His abilities remain consistent: he is a highly skilled skateboarder, a decent hand-to-hand combatant, and possesses the superhuman traits and subspace powers common to major characters in the franchise, such as superhuman physical characteristics, law manipulation, and immortality.
