Alexandre Marconato is a prolific Brazilian voice actor who has lent his voice to a wide array of characters in anime, films, and television series since beginning his career in 1996. Born in São Paulo on December 13, 1967, he entered the world of dubbing after initially working as an actor starting in 1993. Over the years, he has worked with numerous dubbing studios in São Paulo, including BKS, Álamo, Dublavideo, Centauro, Mastersound, Marshmallow, Sigma, Dubrasil, Vox Mundi, Wood Video, Unidub, Tempo Filmes, TV Group Digital, Marmac, Top Noise, and CBS. He is the brother of fellow voice actor Márcio Marconato.

Marconato is known for his versatility, often providing the Portuguese voice for a range of protagonists, antagonists, and supporting characters across many popular anime franchises. In the series Record of Ragnarok, he voices the powerful Norse god Thor. He is the voice behind the hero Atomic Samurai in One Punch Man and the titular space pirate Cobra in the film Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie. His work in Netflix-distributed anime includes the role of the sorcerer En in Dorohedoro and Abigail in BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-.

Marconato is also a recurring presence in several long-running franchises. He has voiced Kogoro Mouri in numerous installments of the Case Closed (Detective Conan) series, including the films The Fist of Blue Sapphire, Zero the Enforcer, and Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie. In the Ghost in the Shell universe, he is the voice of Togusa, a role he has performed in Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 and earlier adaptations like Stand Alone Complex and Arise. For fans of Dragon Ball, he is well-known as the voice of Tenshinhan across various series and films. He also voices the character Greed in both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. In the world of One Piece, Marconato voices the celestial dragon Donquixote Doflamingo.

Beyond these, his extensive anime filmography includes roles such as Ford Travis in Pacific Rim: The Black, Shū Izumi in The Relative Worlds, Kageyuki in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato, Kimura in Tekkonkinkreet, Goro Oki in Submarine Super 99, Tsugera in Hunter X Hunter: G I Final, Shun Aurora in Heat Guy J, and Zero in Cosmo Warrior Zero Gaiden. He has also voiced characters in live-action film adaptations, such as Kanryuu Takeda in the Rurouni Kenshin live-action films.

In addition to his anime work, Marconato has an extensive career dubbing live-action films and television series. He is the regular Portuguese voice for actors such as Colin Farrell, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Cillian Murphy. Notable roles include Sawyer from the series Lost, Jack from Will & Grace, and Sportacus from Lazy Town. He has also voiced characters in video games, such as Breach in Valorant, and superheroes like Tony Stark (Iron Man) in various animated features, including Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.

In a 2008 interview, Marconato discussed his approach to dubbing, noting that voice actors often work with limited context, relying on the direction provided in the studio to guide their performance. He also mentioned that, despite being well-known for his anime roles, they represent only a portion of his work, with much of his career dedicated to dubbing Mexican telenovelas and Hollywood films. This breadth of experience across different genres and media has established Alexandre Marconato as one of the most recognizable and respected voices in Brazilian dubbing.
