Description
Takeru Kinjō runs the Dice Club Game Shop, a Kyoto specialty store for analogue games. He employs Midori Ohno part-time and supplies games while offering guidance to the After School Dice Club. Physically imposing, he is tall and muscular with a shaved head, chin stubble, and tanned skin. He consistently wears sunglasses and practical attire: an apron over a black tee-shirt and military-style pants, contributing to an initially intimidating impression.

Despite his appearance, Kinjō possesses a genuine, enthusiastic passion for board games. He actively encourages others to discover gaming enjoyment, inviting Miki Takekasa and Aya Takayashiki to play Marrakech during their first shop visit. He explains rules clearly but plays without holding back, believing in authentic game experiences. This approach helps Miki overcome her hesitation and discover fun through strategic play.

His interactions feature a direct, sometimes blunt communication style, yet underlying warmth surfaces through his eagerness to share knowledge and introduce diverse games. He supports Midori's ambition to become a board game designer by providing a workplace aligned with her interests. His shop serves as a recurring gathering point where characters explore imported games, reflecting his role as both supplier and informal advisor to the club. His surname, Kinjō, incorporates the Japanese characters for "gold" (金) and "castle" (城).
