Description
The character known as Agent Stone is a human figure from the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog film series, not an anime adaptation. He is best known for serving as the dedicated personal assistant and loyal henchman to the primary antagonist, Dr. Robotnik.

Agent Stone is a government agent who was assigned by the United States government to work alongside Dr. Robotnik. He has a slim build, with short, slicked-back black hair, brown eyes, and a neatly trimmed beard. His standard attire typically consists of a black suit, a navy or black shirt, and a black tie.

In terms of personality, Stone is defined by his profound and unwavering loyalty to Dr. Robotnik. He is completely subservient to his boss, enduring verbal abuse and humiliation without question or complaint. Despite Robotnik's generally contemptuous view of other people, Stone genuinely admires and cares for him, a devotion that borders on obsession. This is most famously expressed through his skill as an expert barista, as he constantly prepares elaborate lattes for Robotnik, using premium ingredients like steamed Austrian goat milk. This is one of the few areas where Robotnik openly acknowledges Stone's competence. While generally appearing calm and professional, Stone can be nearly as dangerous and ruthless as his master, showing a willingness to use Robotnik's Badnik drones to eliminate anyone who crosses him.

Stone's primary motivation is his devotion to Dr. Robotnik. He is driven by a desire to serve him, earn his approval, and help him achieve his goals of world domination. During periods when Robotnik is absent, Stone follows a pre-set contingency plan or manifesto to secure his own position and prepare for his boss's return.

In the story of the films, Agent Stone first appears assisting Robotnik in investigating a power outage caused by the alien hedgehog, Sonic. He is present for much of Robotnik's initial pursuit. After Robotnik is seemingly defeated and banished to the Mushroom Planet at the end of the first film, Stone follows the doctor's instructions to integrate into society. He takes over a coffee shop from its unpleasant owner, renames it the Mean Bean Coffee Café, and works as a barista while awaiting Robotnik's return. When Robotnik returns in the second film, Stone eagerly rejoins him, helping to establish a secret base within the café and later acting as the co-pilot for the Giant Eggman Robot in the final battle against Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Following Robotnik's second defeat, Stone manages to survive and evade capture by the military organization GUN, disguising himself as one of their soldiers and learning about a secret project called Project Shadow.

The most significant and defining relationship for Agent Stone is with Dr. Robotnik. He is the only person who willingly serves the doctor, and despite the one-sided nature of their dynamic, the films suggest a genuine, if unconventional, bond. Robotnik, who is pathologically incapable of valuing others, shows Stone a unique level of tolerance and, in his own way, appreciation, particularly for his latte-making skills. While isolated on the Mushroom Planet, Robotnik creates a rock and names it "Agent Stone" to serve as a mock companion, indicating that he felt Stone's absence. In the second film, Robotnik is noticeably less abusive and even agrees to bring Stone along when he gains immense power, trusting him to help pilot his giant robot. Stone has a more adversarial relationship with the heroes, though his interactions are mostly indirect, as his primary focus remains on serving his master.

Over the course of the films, Agent Stone develops from a capable but underutilized government agent into a more proactive and resourceful villain in his own right. He demonstrates initiative by successfully executing Robotnik's plan to take over the coffee shop and by recovering the doctor's technology. By the third film, their relationship has evolved to a point where Robotnik refers to Stone not just as a sycophant, but as a true friend, acknowledging his loyalty and unique place in his life.

While Agent Stone does not possess any superhuman powers, he has several notable abilities. His expertise as a barista is renowned, even by Robotnik. He is a highly capable assistant, skilled with technology and able to operate complex machinery, including the Giant Eggman Robot. He is also a competent strategist, having independently orchestrated a takeover of a business and evaded capture by a global military organization.
