Description
Tim Goodman is the human protagonist of Pokémon Detective Pikachu and the story's central former Pokémon trainer. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a Pokémon trainer, but his life took a different path after his mother passed away and his father, Harry Goodman, left home to work as a police detective in Ryme City. Growing up largely separated from his father, Tim eventually gave up his trainer ambitions and settled into a quieter, more ordinary life as an insurance agent, carrying lingering disappointment and emotional distance from the world of Pokémon.
