Description
Future Ragna is a version of the protagonist from an alternate and tragic timeline. His existence is defined by the trauma of losing his partner, Leonica, during the initial assault on Ronabera, an event that marks the beginning of his transformation from an inexperienced dragon hunter into a relentless, vengeance-driven warrior.

In his own timeline, after Leonica's death, Future Ragna took up the silver sword of a fallen friend and dedicated his life to the absolute annihilation of all dragons. His journey was arduous and marked by repeated defeats, yet he possessed an unyielding will to survive and continue fighting. Approximately eight years after Leonica's death, he suffered a near-fatal wound from the superior dragon Ultimatia, which began converting him into a dragon of the winged bloodline. To resist this transformation, he used his silver sword to pierce his own heart, a desperate act that ultimately led to a complete fusion between his body and the blade. Over two more years, he perfected this state, developing a unique combat art known as the Silver Energy Combat Style.

Despite acquiring immense power, Future Ragna could not prevent humanity's defeat in its war against the dragons. Having achieved his unparalleled strength only to find it meaningless without the people he wished to protect, he was left with a profound sense of emptiness. His final act was to use a mysterious power, potentially linked to the character Crimson, to send his memories, skills, and silver energy abilities back in time to his past self on the day Ronabera was attacked. This act of sacrificing his own timeline successfully changed destiny, allowing his younger self to save Leonica. Having fulfilled his purpose, Future Ragna died peacefully, still standing.

His personality is defined by the immense grief and tragedy he endured. He is starkly stoic, reserved, and emotionally closed off, avoiding genuine connections with others. He rationalizes this by believing that associating with him is only worthwhile for those who are either willing to die or are incapable of dying. He harbors a deep self-hatred for his past weakness, which he feels made him a parasite who relied on Leonica's strength to cover his own inadequacy. This intense self-loathing fuels the ruthless determination he displays when facing dragons. He is initially hostile toward characters like Crimson, viewing them with absolute distrust, and his interactions are cold and pragmatic, solely focused on his mission.

The central relationship in Future Ragna's existence is with Leonica. Her death is the singular trauma that defines his entire life, and the act of saving her in the past is the only goal that grants his suffering any meaning. His relationship with his younger self, Ragna, is one of contempt and forceful mentorship; he views his past self as a naive parasite and forcibly bequeaths his power and memories to him to correct the past. He also has a long history with Crimson in his timeline, though their relationship is marked by Future Ragna's hostility and a lack of trust. Over his long career, he encountered and lost many allies, but due to his fatalistic beliefs, he never formed strong bonds with them.

Future Ragna's notable abilities are a direct result of his decades of obsessive training and his fusion with the silver sword. His body itself possesses the properties of silverine, the metal deadly to dragons, allowing him to freeze and kill them with a mere touch. He perfected the Silver Energy Combat Style, a technique that maximizes and controls the silver energy within his body, releasing it from his entire being to freeze the magical power in a dragon's blood. This power is effective even against high-ranking dragons and dragon kings. He also possesses exceptional survival and endurance capabilities, allowing him to continue fighting despite fatal injuries and resist forced dragonification. His ultimate technique involves amplifying his power to its absolute limit, though using this power comes at a great cost to his own lifespan and leaves him severely exhausted.
