TV-Series
Description
Hezella is a young female musketeer and one half of a pair of twins, with her sister being Grea. She possesses a distinct appearance, parting her hair in a seven-to-three ratio with the parting on the left side. Although her physical form resembles that of a girl in her early teens, her eyes and teeth carry a sharp, draconic quality that gives her a fierce look. Her typical demeanor is one of innocence and cheerfulness, behaving in a lively manner suitable for her apparent age. This outward behavior, however, masks a more complex internal reality, as she is inherently emotionally detached.
This lack of emotion stems from a difficult childhood, during which she was kept as a sideshow attraction. As a result of this early life, she struggles to connect with her own feelings and makes a conscious effort to develop her emotions later in life. On occasion, her true, unfeeling nature can surface, such as when an unguarded comment from the character Evil Slime causes her to reveal this colder aspect of her personality.
In combat, Hezella is highly skilled as a musketeer, specializing in ranged combat. Her abilities extend beyond marksmanship, as she possesses exceptional night vision that allows her to scout the battlefield and gather intelligence on enemy movements. She can then relay this information to her allies, such as Starlia. Furthermore, she can use her voice offensively to disrupt the actions of dragons, adding a strategic layer to her role during conflicts. During a major war arc, she takes on a leadership role, commanding an aerial mobile musketeer squad.
Throughout the story, Hezella faces several powerful adversaries. She is able to repel the mature dragon form of Disas Trois but is later defeated by another mature dragon, Melgubde. Following this defeat, she attempts to mount a counterattack together with her twin sister, Grea. However, tragedy strikes when Grea is killed just before they can execute a planned transposition maneuver. The loss of her sister causes Hezella to lose her emotions entirely, plunging her into a state of profound apathy. In this emotionless state, she storms the royal capital and engages in a battle with Olto Zora, suffering severe injuries. She receives first aid from Evil Slime and Crimson, which allows her to return to the front lines.
A pivotal moment in her development occurs when the character Ultimatia attempts to reverse the world's time. Hezella fires upon her from behind to stop the process, knowing full well that rewinding time would have revived her fallen comrades, including her sister Grea. Even though she is the one who cuts off this possibility, she breaks down in tears, and in this ironic moment of profound loss and guilt, she finally regains her emotions. Following the conclusion of the war, Hezella is taken under the protection of the character Crimson. Her name is derived from Hansel, one of the siblings from the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. Hezella possesses purple eyes and blonde hair.
