Description
Brandy Blumenthal is a character from the anime High Card. She is a 27-year-old woman with a height of 175 centimeters, and her birthday falls on August 19. Physically, she is depicted with wavy, blonde or brown hair that reaches her chest, eyes of a turquoise or minty blue color, and an adult, feminine appearance. Her typical attire is elegant and distinctive, consisting of a glamorous burgundy suit worn over a deeply cut black blouse. The suit jacket is cinched at the waist by a chunky belt with gold hardware, and her pants are tucked into slim, calf-high riding boots reminiscent of equestrian dressage.

Brandy serves as one of the private secretaries and bodyguards to Norman Kingstadt, the charismatic and flamboyant CEO of the high-tech car manufacturer Who's Who Inc. In this capacity, she works alongside a colleague named Brist Blitz Broadhurst, another of Norman's secretaries who is described as straight-laced and pragmatic. While Brist constantly nags Norman about work regulations and overtime pay, Brandy approaches her duties with a calm and seemingly nonchalant demeanor that belies her effectiveness.

Despite her laid-back surface, Brandy is fiercely competent and ensures that any task she starts is seen through to completion. She holds a specific and somewhat conflicted view of her employer. On one hand, she is frequently left dumbfounded by Norman's obsession with the mysterious X-Playing cards, believing that he would be a truly excellent CEO if he were not so preoccupied with collecting them. This frustration, however, does not lessen her genuine respect and affection for Norman. She holds him in high regard, and beneath her often-astonished exterior lies a sincere, loyal dedication to the man she works for.

As an operative within the world of High Card, Brandy is a user of the X-Playing cards, which grant their wielders supernatural abilities. She possesses the 7 of Spades, a card designated as Interceptor. Its power allows her to summon a high-performance motorcycle that serves as her primary tool in the field. This is not an ordinary vehicle; it can be modified on the fly with various combat-oriented attachments, including missile launchers, a sidecar, and machine guns. This ability reflects her role as a bodyguard and enforcer, enabling her to engage in the high-stakes, violent missions that arise from the rivalry between Who's Who and the Pinochle car company, as well as clashes with other factions like the Klondike mafia family.

While Brandy does not belong to the secret group of players named High Card, who work directly for the king of Fourland, her position at Who's Who places her squarely on the opposing corporate side of the conflict over the scattered magical cards. Her role in the story is defined by her cool, professional execution of dangerous jobs, her complex but ultimately respectful relationship with her boss Norman Kingstadt, and the formidable combat capability she gains from her X-Playing card, the Interceptor.
