Description
Asta is a demon and a loyal subordinate of Vamirio, the Red Heavenly King of the Demon Empire. She is the older sister of Ista, with whom she shares a close bond. Physically, Asta is a young-looking girl with cat-like ears, short black hair, and amber eyes. Her preference for practical, masculine clothing often leads to her being mistaken for a boy.

In terms of personality, Asta is defined by her immense curiosity, which drives her to take an interest in a wide variety of subjects and artifacts. She is also highly cautious and pragmatic, always taking extra precautions to ensure the success of her missions, even employing tools for tasks her natural abilities could already handle. This cautious nature makes her quick to perceive potential dangers and jump to conclusions when a threat might be present. Despite her intelligence and battle sense, which are recognized by her peers, she generally moves at her own pace and is content with not excelling in any single field as long as she can serve her master. Her respect for Vamirio is absolute, and she consistently defers to her judgment.

Asta's background reveals a childhood in a village with her sister Ista and their friend Hyura, from whom she learned swordsmanship. After monsters attacked their village, they were saved by Vamirio, an event that inspired both sisters to join the empire's military and eventually become Vamirio's personal subordinates. Before her military service, Asta was an adventurer driven by a strong interest in archaeology. This passion led her to travel extensively across the outside world, even more so than Vamirio, where she encountered various species and brought back numerous relics from near-death experiences. Her adventures were so perilous that she would often use her telepathic link with her sister to say farewell when close to death, a habit that would mentally overwhelm Ista.

Asta's primary role in the story is that of a spy for the Demon Empire. Her mission involves infiltrating the human kingdom to gather intelligence on the mysterious changes occurring there. She is highly skilled in reconnaissance, capable of evading capture for extended periods and observing the activities of the human leadership and their winged soldiers. Her role is crucial for providing the demons with information about their enemies. While undercover, she encounters and befriends a human girl named Sharuami, which leads to her eventual capture and imprisonment. Despite being tortured for information, Asta remains resilient, using her wits to eventually subdue her torturer and escape her cell to rejoin her allies.

Throughout the story, Asta experiences development as she confronts the terrifying truths of the human world and the Will of the World. When she learns that the hero Helck has come into contact with this powerful and dangerous entity, she becomes extremely anxious and fearful. She struggles to logically accept Helck's claim that he has been ignoring the Will's influence, given the immense damage it has caused. However, her deep trust in Vamirio ultimately leads her to set aside her unease and place her faith in her master's decision to stand with Helck.

Asta possesses several notable abilities. She has a great sense of battle, a talent acknowledged by the skilled warrior Hyura. As a demon, she has physical capabilities beyond a normal human, including agility and the power to use defensive barriers. Her intelligence is a key asset, allowing her to pass difficult exams with ease and operate effectively as a spy. A unique and significant ability is her second-class special power: telepathic communication with her sister Ista, which she typically initiates by drinking coffee or tea. This link allows them to share information across vast distances, which is vital for her espionage work. Finally, her extensive experience as an adventurer has made her resourceful and knowledgeable about ancient relics and the outside world.
