Description
Dinois Velgear is a character from the Velgear Star Cluster, a Velgearian who serves as a loyal attendant to Zuwijo zir Velgear, proudly declaring herself his right-hand woman. Her journey begins when she arrives on Earth aboard the spaceship Zaidavelgear alongside Zuwijo, but their entry is disrupted by a sudden collision with the Mutsuba Proto-Spaceship RUSH, forcing both vessels to crash-land on the planet. Following this incident, as Zuwijo prepares for a war in his home star cluster, he assigns Dinois a mission to secretly monitor the activities of Yudias Velgear and his companions, a task she diligently performs until her cover is eventually blown in the town of Pawtner. When confronted by Mitsuko Hiramori, who demands to know Zuwijo's location, Dinois accepts a Rush Duel challenge but suffers a defeat.
Physically, Dinois is a woman of short stature characterized by her bob-cut gray hair styled into an ahoge, or cowlick, and her sharp orange eyes. Her typical attire consists of a sleek black jumpsuit paired with a dark blue vest, matching boots, and black leggings. Her most distinctive accessory is a pair of ladybug-shaped earmuffs, and she also carries a small pink sword, reminiscent of the weapon Yudias uses. Her personality is notably marked by her use of the informal Japanese personal pronoun atai, which gives her speech pattern a slightly rough or brash quality. Dinois remains a steadfast presence by Zuwijo's side during his subsequent battles against Yudias. Her loyalty leads her to return to Earth two years later, after Rush Duels have been successfully integrated into the Velgear Star Cluster. She accompanies Zuwijo and another ally, Muda Velgear, to assist Yudias and his friends in dealing with the MIK crisis. Her role continues to put her in dangerous situations; she is later turned into a piece of furniture alongside Tremolo Ryugu by the antagonist Zaion, though she is eventually restored to her original form. In a deeply loyal act, Dinois stays with Zuwijo until the very end, accompanying him when he ultimately disappears.
