Description
Euripides Ritzland is a supporting character in the anime Love of Kill, where he serves as a key figure in the series' complex world of bounty hunters and underworld dealings. Known to his colleagues by the nickname Boss, Euripedes is the representative of the Ritzland Support Company, a firm that operates within the bounty hunting profession. Despite his youthful age of twenty-five, his demeanor is marked by audacity, toughness, and an unusual calmness in high-stress situations, which gives him an appearance that seems much older than his years. He is described as having black hair cut to ear-length and black eyes.

His professional life is deeply intertwined with the personal, as his primary motivation stems from a dual responsibility: managing his company's dangerous operations and protecting his loved ones. He is married to Hawke Ritzland, a billionaire entrepreneur, and shielding her from the numerous threats that accompany her wealth and his line of work is a central part of his duties. This extends to his employees, most notably Chateau Dankworth, a talented but volatile bounty hunter whose tendency to lose control keeps him constantly occupied with damage control and intervention.

Within the story, Euripedes acts as an employer, strategist, and guardian. His role often involves gathering critical intelligence from the underworld and assigning high-reward missions. He is deeply concerned with operational security, especially regarding the mysterious and powerful hitman Song Ryang-ha, who develops an obsessive fixation on Chateau. Euripedes is suspicious of Ryang-ha's motives and works to monitor their interactions, hoping to uncover the secrets of Chateau's past identity as Chateau Nobel while keeping her in the dark to protect her. His key relationships include his professionally stable but occasionally tense dynamic with his secretary, Jim, who sometimes shows jealousy over Euripedes' closeness to Hawke. He also has a cautious, businesslike understanding with Song Ryang-ha, which is tested repeatedly.

Euripedes' development takes a dramatic turn during a mission aboard the cruise ship Artemisia. While attempting to arrange a private meeting with Ryang-ha to discuss Chateau's history, he is ambushed and viciously attacked by an assassin named Jinon, who stabs him in the throat with a knife. He survives this severe injury, which serves as a major plot catalyst, forcing Chateau and Ryang-ha to operate without his guidance and protection. His notable abilities lie not in physical combat but in his expertise at navigating the criminal underworld, his strategic mind for intelligence gathering, and his remarkable resilience in both professional negotiations and personal survival.
