Description
Hart Zenfis is the protagonist of his story, a young man whose life is defined by a profound misunderstanding of his own power and a deep-seated desire for a quiet, uneventful existence. His journey begins in a previous life, where he was a reclusive shut-in for five years after suffering severe bullying during his school years. Upon his death, a goddess offered him a reincarnation into a world where magic is paramount, and he was reborn as Reinhardt Orteus, a prince of the Orteus Kingdom. However, a critical error by the goddess and the limitations of this new world's magic assessment tools led to his immediate abandonment. The device, unable to display numbers higher than two digits, showed his immense magical level of 1002 as a mere 02, leading everyone to believe he was exceptionally weak. Because of this, the royal family declared him stillborn and left him in a forest to die.

Left alone in the wilderness, Haruto survived by instinctively using his unique magic. He was soon discovered by a powerful female Fenrir named Flay, who, recognizing his overwhelming strength, swore him her loyalty. Shortly after, he was found and adopted by the边境伯爵 Gold Zenfis, who gave him the name Haruto Zenfis and welcomed him into his family. This event marked the start of his new life, but the core misunderstanding of his power never left him. To this day, Haruto firmly believes his magic level is a paltry 2, interpreting the displayed "02" as his true rank and dismissing his incredible feats as some kind of "reincarnation bonus" or trick. This misconception makes it nearly impossible for him to accurately judge the strength of others, as he views his own vastly superior abilities as the baseline for normal.

In terms of personality, Haruto is defined by his profound laziness and his deep yearning to be a shut-in again. He has no grand ambitions for fame, wealth, or adventure, and seeks only a peaceful, comfortable life where he can relax without being bothered. This apathy governs most of his actions, but there are two notable exceptions. He becomes incredibly diligent and energetic when working on his own plans for a perfect, cozy living space, and he is fiercely motivated by the desire to make his adoptive younger sister, Charlotte Zenfis, happy. Since his reincarnation, he has stated he feels no romantic or physical desire, and his feelings towards the women in his life are purely familial or platonic. Despite his lack of ambition, he retains a sense of responsibility and takes care not to bring trouble to the Zenfis family.

Haruto's role in the story is largely reactive, driven by his relationships and his attempts to protect his quiet life. His primary motivation is to avoid the spotlight and maintain his low profile, but these efforts are constantly sabotaged by his own immense power and occasional carelessness. He is often forced into action to defend his new family, especially Charlotte. This leads to his most prominent secondary identity: Shiva. At Charlotte's request, he dons a black mask and cape to become a hero of justice named Schwarzer Krieger (Black Warrior), or Shiva for short. As Shiva, his personality and even his voice change, becoming more confident, dramatic, and willing to use overwhelming force to protect his loved ones, showing a ruthless determination that his normal self lacks.

His key relationships are the core of his new life. He is deeply loyal and grateful to his adoptive father, Gold Zenfis, who saved him and gave him a family. He shares a close bond with Flay, his loyal servant and companion who respects his power. His most important relationship is with his little sister, Charlotte Zenfis. He adores her and will go to any lengths to see her smile, including creating entire modern entertainment systems with his magic for her and adopting the heroic persona of Shiva. In stark contrast, he harbors a deep resentment toward his biological royal parents who abandoned him, showing no hesitation in ruining their reputation or taking direct action against them when they pose a threat to his adopted family.

While Haruto does not undergo a dramatic personality shift, his development is seen in his growing, albeit reluctant, acceptance of his responsibilities. He learns to navigate life at the academy, which he hates because it reminds him of his past trauma, though his attempts to get expelled always fail. He creates a magical body double, known as Haruto C, to handle his public duties and school attendance for him. Initially a static doll, Haruto C eventually becomes an autonomous copy that shares all of his original's lazy personality and memories, leading to the two of them begrudgingly taking turns with the work neither wants to do. This creation showcases his growing ingenuity with his power, even as he uses it to enable his own indolence.

His notable abilities are entirely centered on his unique form of magic. He cannot use any of the standard elemental magics common in his world. Instead, he wields attribute-less barrier magic. Because of his enormous mana pool of 1002, he can manipulate these barriers with a level of creativity and power that is considered impossible by the standards of his new world. He can use his barriers for virtually anything. Applications include reinforcing his own body for physical strength, capturing and attacking enemies, creating healing barriers, forming surveillance cameras and display screens, and even creating a magically powered network that can connect to the internet from his previous world. He can also remotely control and manipulate his barriers, which allows him to project his voice or power through his Shiva persona even when his real body is elsewhere. This mastery of an ancient magic, once used by gods and demons, is so profound that he is perceived not as weak, but as one of the most singularly powerful beings in his new world, despite his own persistent belief to the contrary.
