Description
Olore Andrew, also romanized as Orol Andrew, is a student at Easton Magic Academy in the anime and manga series Mashle: Magic and Muscles. He is a second-year student belonging to the Lang dormitory, also known as the Rayen dormitory, and he holds the rank of the Sixth Fang within the Magia Lupus, the elite group of seven exceptionally strong students from Lang House who are collectively known as the Seven Fangs.
He is a two-line mage, which is a rare classification of magic user, and he carries one line-shaped mark beneath each of his eyes. According to his character profile, he is seventeen years old, born on August 28, has blood type O, stands 185 centimeters tall, weighs 87 kilograms, and wears a shoe size of 32 centimeters. His household consists of his father and mother.
In appearance, Olore is a large and burly young man with a completely bald head, broad shoulders, and comparatively thin legs. His eyes are wide and bulging, sometimes described as having a squinting or goggling quality, and his mouth shows no visible lips, so his teeth and gums are often on display, which contributes to his intimidating look. He wears the standard white and purple robe of the Magia Lupus during his appearances.
Despite his menacing physical appearance, Olore has a personality that contrasts strongly with how he looks. He is calm, down-to-earth, and extremely polite, and he speaks in a courteous and respectful manner to others regardless of who they are. He also has a practical and level-headed way of thinking, and he is known to chide his colleague for making pointless statements, dismissing such remarks as a waste of time. However, when he enters combat, a more ferocious side emerges, and he displays a predatory enjoyment of the hunt. This sharp contrast between his courteous speech and his savage battle instincts is one of his defining traits.
Within the story, Olore serves as a supporting antagonist during the Magia Lupus arc, the segment of the series in which the Lang dormitory's elite group confronts the main characters. Alongside the Seventh Fang, Anser Shinri, he challenges Mash Burnedead and Lance Crown, with the objective of seizing the gold class coins belonging to the Adler dormitory. His actions in this conflict are carried out as part of the Magia Lupus organization and its goals, rather than as a personal vendetta.
In terms of relationships, Olore is most frequently seen acting together with Anser Shinri, the Seventh Fang, and the two often operate as a pair. As one of the Seven Fangs, he is also a subordinate member of the group led by the First Fang, Abel Walker, who serves as the Lang dormitory's prefect. His role as an opponent places him in direct opposition to Mash Burnedead, Lance Crown, and the students of the Adler dormitory during the Magia Lupus arc.
Because he is a minor supporting antagonist, Olore does not receive a substantial personal development arc over the course of the series. His appearances are largely confined to the Magia Lupus conflict, and the narrative does not explore a significant personal journey or change for him beyond his function within that storyline.
Olore's notable abilities are rooted in his shark magic, which he uses in combat. He is capable of transforming solids into liquids and can also transform his own body into a shark, allowing him to fight using powerful transformation-based techniques. Some descriptions of his fighting style also emphasize terrain-altering magic and an aquatic transformation approach built around the shark form. His combination of transformation magic and his imposing physical frame makes him a dangerous opponent within the Magia Lupus.
