Description
Ai Hoshino grew up in an orphanage after being abandoned by her mother, who had a history of domestic violence and was arrested for theft. At age twelve, she was scouted by Ichigo Saitou, the president of Strawberry Productions, to become an idol. She initially refused because she felt incapable of understanding or feeling love, but Saitou convinced her that lies could be a form of love and that her performed affection might one day become genuine. This philosophy became central to her identity.

As the charismatic center of the idol group B-Komachi, Ai presented a cheerful, radiant, and perfectly crafted persona to the public. Offstage, however, she was asocial, clumsy, and deeply insecure, haunted by the fear that she was fundamentally unable to love. Her private personality was guarded and withdrawn, a stark contrast to her dazzling public image. Despite these doubts, her stage presence was mesmerizing, drawing all attention to her instinctively. Her eyes featured six-pointed stars, a trait she passed to her children.

At sixteen, Ai became secretly pregnant with twins, Aqua and Ruby. Driven by a desperate desire for the family she never had, she chose to carry the pregnancy to term and raise her children while continuing her idol career, keeping their existence hidden from the public. The father was Hikaru Kamiki, a young man with a similarly traumatic past. Ai’s relationship with him was complex, born from mutual understanding of pain and deception, but ended in tragedy.

When Ai was twenty years old, she was murdered in her apartment by an obsessed fan who discovered her secret. The fan had been manipulated by Kamiki, who leaked her location. In her final moments, mortally wounded, Ai told her children that she loved them. For the first time, she realized her feelings were genuine. Her death became the catalyst for her children’s paths: Ruby pursued idolhood to honor her memory, while Aqua dedicated himself to uncovering the truth and seeking revenge. Ai’s brief life transformed her from a girl who performed love as a lie into a woman who finally found an authentic truth in her love for her family.
