Description
Hareluya Hibino initially descended to Earth as God's son in the original "Hareluya" manga, sent to learn humility after rebellious actions disappointed his divine father. This supernatural origin was retconned in "Hareluya II Boy," establishing him as a normal human, though his enigmatic father, Harebare Hibino, remains a formidable presence who observes him disguised as a local priest.

He possesses exceptional physical strength, durability, and combat prowess, often appearing invincible in fights as he effortlessly defeats opponents and endures severe punishment without lasting injury. A signature ability allows him to inexplicably produce objects—most often a metal baseball bat or frying pan—from behind his back, termed a "Hyperspace Arsenal." This extends to summoning absurd items like bowling balls, electric guitars, or even other characters in the anime.

Outwardly arrogant, brash, and self-aggrandizing, he frequently calls himself "Ore-sama" and openly pursues "world domination." This façade masks a deeply protective and benevolent core, especially towards his close friends Kiyoshiro Okamoto, Makoto Ichijou, and Michiru Yamana. He prioritizes their safety and dreams, intervening against threats they face. Despite his abrasive exterior, he reveals unexpected wisdom and tactical acumen during conflicts, strategically outmaneuvering foes rather than relying solely on strength.

Key relationships drive his actions: he protects Kiyoshiro's artistic aspirations, engages in fiery but loyal rivalries with Ichijou, and respects Yamana's resilience. His interactions with his father, Harebare Hibino, hint at mutual respect beneath their antagonistic dynamic, serving as a grounding influence.

His development is episodic, consistently showcasing unwavering loyalty as he confronts antagonists ranging from school delinquents to organized criminals. Notable confrontations include dismantling a corrupt baseball team, rescuing Yamana from a kidnapping by a yakuza heir, and thwarting a human-hunting game. Beneath his comedic quest for domination, he occasionally reveals unexpected depth, such as rejecting financial rewards to honor others' altruistic wishes.
