Description
Elderly witch V-Mei belongs to the endangered Long-Ears tribe, threatened by the antagonistic Jadou Clan. She resides on the moon, made habitable through terraforming in 2050 and settled by humans by 2100. Her primary role is guiding and mentoring the young protagonists destined to oppose the Jadou threat. Encountering Daichi Haruka during his lunar visit, she identifies him as one of three chosen Madou Warriors due to his innate Madou Force. This energy allows him to pilot the elemental robot Granzort, the Madou King of Earth and Fire.
V-Mei provides Daichi with a disc shooter or magic gun, the summoning device for Granzort, which becomes a crucial tool against initial Jadou attacks. She later identifies the other two Madou Warriors: Gus Yamamoto, wielder of the wind-based Winzart, and Rabi, a Long-Ear youth controlling the water-based Aquabeat. V-Mei guides this group as they protect the lunar realm of Rabiluna from the Jadou Clan's conquest. She accompanies the warriors and her granddaughter, Guri Guri, on their journey across Rabiluna's distinct regions. Her deep knowledge of the conflict and the warriors' destiny makes her a vital source of wisdom and exposition regarding the Long-Ears' plight and the Jadou's objectives, including preventing their expansion toward Earth.
V-Mei's background as a Long-Ears elder directly ties her to the core conflict. Her actions consistently support the protagonists' mission to thwart the Jadou Clan. Her character remains focused on her tribal heritage and empowering the chosen warriors, with no documented personal evolution or backstory beyond this role across the series or its associated OVAs.
